Since CPTTM is a young organization, it has to continuously improve its operation for better service hence the decision of the management of CPTTM to implement an ISO 9000 quality management system. With support from the Hong Kong Productivity Council and efforts of all CPTTM staff, the Center had successfully attained ISO 9001 certification by APCER during December Novermber last year.
APCER is a certification body for quality management system (ISO 9000, QS 9000) and environmental management system (ISO 14000) recognized by the Portuguese System for Quality. In Portugal, APCER has certified more than 700 enterprises, and it has certification activities in other countries such as Mexico, Spain and Morroco. IQNET is made up of a number of certification bodies from different countries. Presently, IQNET has 29 members and they come from, among others, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Israel, South Korea and Poland. The IQNET members account for approximately 50% of the management system certificates issued worldwide.
