| BACKGROUND |
CPTTM has become
an authorized center for the ISTO Test of Understanding since Sep 21, 2001.
This Test is suitable for auditors, quality management personnel and others
who are interested in pursuing a career in quality management.
Presently, the ISTO Test of Understanding is the only exam that has global
recognition in this area. Tests of understanding are now organized
for ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management System. In general, there are
quite a number of misconceptions about the requirements of ISO 9000
standard. For an individual, attaining the ISTO certificate can be
used as independent evidence of his/her understanding of the standard.
This Test has won the recognition of many certification bodies, consultant companies and training organizations in over 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Korea. It is considered as the "TOEFL" for assessing one's accuracy in understanding the standard requirements. As of today, the ISTO Test of Understanding was held in Macao for 6 times already ; the passing rate for Macao candidates was around 60%, as compared to 50% on a global basis. |
