OBJECTIVE	Policy Deployment has been adopted by many successful enterprises as the tool for business planning and implementation. In recent years, many international management standards (e.g. ISO 9001: 2000 version) have incorporated it as part of their requirements. It provides a framework for total quality management (TQM), enabling the enterprise to translate its vision and long term business objectives into actions, thereby competing effectively and exceeding their customers' expectations. Through in-class exercises and case studies, the course is designed to enable the partcipants to gradually gain an understanding of the principles of Policy Deployment and learn how to establish a simple and effective procedure (applicable to all types of enterprises) for its implementation.
CONTENT	Development of Policy Deployment How to convert high level vision into lower level action How to focus on those issues that will make your business a success Step by step procedure to establish departmental objectives and means Relationship with ISO9001:2000 and how to fulfil the requirement How to establish targets for the four key focus of TQM for continuous improvement – Quality, Cost, Cycle Time and Safety.

INSTRUCTOR	Mr. Herrick Lau, ISO9000 Registered Lead Auditor, Member of “American Society for Quality(ASQ)” and American “Society for Automotive Engineers(SAE)”, Principal Consultant and Director of a Consultancy Firm based in Hong Kong. Deep auditing and consulting experience, have conducted more than 150 third party audits, have assisted company of different sizes in passing the ISO9000 and QS9000 Quality System Audit.
