CTM “5G‧Smart Solutions Competition” is now open for applications!

Competition Theme

To explore and develop localized smart solutions riding on 5G technology, facilitate its features of high connection speed, ultra-low latency, and massive connectivity, the solutions should be able to cater into local industrial, social, or livelihood scenarios; as well as to unleash the potential, enhance efficiencies or even to solve the existing development dilemma. The solutions should be practical, sustainable and potential for commercial development.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all Macau residents aged 16 years old or above (born in or before 2004). Interested applicants are free to form teams of maximum 5 people. Applicant is not allowed to form teams repeatedly and only into either one of the following groups:

Implementation Group – finalists are required to produce the prototype and verified its implementation at 5G site
Concept Group –finalists are required to put forward a detailed proposal for new innovative solutions facilitating with 5G characteristics

Essential information

Eligible applicant will receive email confirmation from CTM
Eligible applicant is required to attend Briefing Session on 05 October and submit prelim Concept Proposal by 15 November for shortlisting assessment
Each applicant/team may not submit more than one entry
Submitted entries must be original and have not participated in any other public competitions, which shall not infringe any copyright or intellectual property rights. Any violation will result in disqualification of the entry and the participant/team shall bear the relevant responsibility.
Pornographic, violence, illegal contents are prohibited in all entries.
Finalists of Implementation Group are required to live demonstrate the prototype to the judging panel at 5G site to verify the implementation.
Finalists of Concept Group are required to present judging panel the concept in person
CTM staff members are not eligible to participate in the competition.
CTM reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions. The decision of the judges for the result and all matters related to the competition shall be final.

Awards

Outstanding Award of Implementation Group (no more than two units): MOP 80,000 cash prize and trophy
Outstanding Award of Concept Group (no more than five units): MOP 10,000 cash prize and trophy

Terms & Conditions

All submitted entries are copyrighted by CTM during the competition period.
The finalists may be deemed relinquishment of the award in the event of not attending the judging presentation organized by organizers.
Pornographic, violence, illegal contents are prohibited in all entries.
In the event of any dispute in regard to the result and award, the decision of the judging panel shall be final.
CTM reserve the right to demonstrate, promote, distribution, exhibition of submitted works, works submitted will not be returned to the participants.
CTM staff members are not eligible to participate in the competition.
CTM reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions. The decision of judges for the result and all matters related to the competition shall be final.
By submitting the application, participants agree to the above terms and conditions.
The competition information shall be in Chinese and English versions, in the event of any discrepancy in the two versions , the Chinese version shall prevail
