Experience Sharing Session on Becoming a Fashion Designer

2015 4 18 To further promote the development of the fashion industry, Macao Fashion Gallery invited
a star designer, Miss Johanna Ho of Hong Kong, as a speaker for the seminar titled “Becoming
a Fashion Designer” that was held on 18th April 2015. Through this experience sharing session,
Miss Ho shared her valuable experience and creative journey on becoming a fashion designer.
She also discussed things to be aware of during the process of creating a fashion label as well
as how to turn creative ideas into actual products. The seminar helped to promote better interac-
tion between designers of Hong Kong and Macao as well as giving valuable insights to people
who are interested in becoming fashion designer.

During the seminar, Miss Ho shared her personal experience on fashion design and product
creation, explaining the things to be aware of during the creation of a fashion label. The process
of turning creative ideas into products as well as difficulties and challenges during the process
were explained in detail. Miss Ho interacted effectively with the audience with her interesting
and light-hearted discussion. The audience was especially interested in asking the speakers
about her experience on how to create a fashion label and where her creative inspirations came
from. After the speech, Miss Ho exchanged ideas with local designers attending the seminar,
sharing experience on creating fashion label and how to run a fashion business.
