From the Quality Club President

Dear Members,

First of all, on behalf of the Quality Club Executive Committee, I would like to request you to join me in congratulating the launch of this "All About Quality" Newsletter.

The objective of our Quality Club is to create an environment where local people who are interested in quality management can further develop themselves through pariticipating in various Club’s activities and initiatives. Since the inception of our Quality Club, we have been getting together through various activities to learn more about Quality Management, including study visits, experience-sharing seminars, dinner talks as well as a two-day Quality Camp. As of end of July 1999, we have reached a total of 171 members, coming from different walks of life from the local community. I sincerely hope that more and more people will be joining us in the near future.

As we face the quality challenge in the next century, this Newsletter represents another channel that we could communicate and enrich with each other. It is anticipated that we would be more interactive and more intimate. Therefore, if you have any ideas, information or even questions about Quality Management, regardless whether they are about ISO 9000, 5S, TQM, QCC or Continuous Improvement, please do not hesitate to share them with your fellow quality practitioners. As usual, your contribution to the Quality Club is crucial and highly appreciated.

Again, we look forward to working with you in fostering quality management in Macau.
