ISO14001:2004 – Be Prepared for the New Standard

CONTENT	The revised version of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard will be published by end of 2004. Organizations currently certified to ISO 14001:1996 will need to make a transition to this new version. According to the latest draft on Transition Policy, the transition period will last 12 to 18 months, shorter than the 36-month period defined for the ISO 9001:2000 transition.
