Office for Energy Industry Development (GDSE), Public Administration and Civil
Service Bureau (SAFP), Cultural Affairs Bureau (ICM), CPTTM, and Albergue SCM
have decided to jointly organize a 2014 “Dress Casual in Summer
‧
Save Energy
Together” Unbound Creativity
‧
Recycled Fashion Design Contest. Contestants must use
the old clothing provided by the organizers, redesign or recreate them into a set of men’s
and ladies’ suit.
The organizers asked for donation of old clothes from the public from 14th April to 5th May,
receiving more than 300 items. On the afternoon of 11th May (Sunday), a briefing session was held
at CPTTM HAT to explain to contestants about the rules of the contest as well as teach them how to
remodel old clothes. At the same time, contestants were to pick their desired old clothes for the contest. All
entries must be submitted to CPTTM before 29th May, A total of 58 entries and judging was held in early June. The first
15 contestants were invited to participate in the inauguration ceremony, fashion show, and prize award ceremony of “Dress Casual
in Summe
r‧
Save Energy Together” at the St. Marks Square of Macau Venetian Resort on 17th June. Audiences at the event were
treated to the magnificent works of giving a second life to abandoned clothes.
