The Prize Award Ceremony of the 5th Macao Fashion Illustration Contest organized by CPTTM had
already been held at the House of Apparel Technology on 27th June 2014. The theme of the contest
was “Five Tastes of Life”. The contest was divided into student category and open category. A total
of 188 entries were received, consisting of 127 entries for student category and 61 entries for open
category.
After the judging, Lai Un Kei won the open category contest while Wu Jing Qi and Chio Wai Hong
received the first runner-up and second runner-up trophy respectively. Sou Hao I, Lei Chou I, Lai
Un Kei, Ana Cardoso, Chan Ka Pou and Chan Mei Wa received excellence award in the open category.
Meanwhile, Wong Weng Chon(The workers’children High School )won the student category contest
while Fong Chao In(Escola Católica Estrela do Mar) and Fong Hoi Lam (Colegio de Santa Rosa de
Lima )received first runner-up and second runner-up trophy respectively. Lei Ka I(Escola Católica
Estrela do Mar), Lei Ka Hei(Macau Kung Luen Vocational & Technical Middle School), Lou Soi
Ieng(Sheng Kung Hui Choi Kou School Macau), Hoi Tong Ian(Hou Kong Middle School) and Cheng
Ka Leng(Our Lady Of Fatima Girls’ School )received excellence award in the student category. In
order to give tourists and Macao public an opportunity to see the wonderful creations of the contestants,
winning and selected entries have been exhibited at the Macao Fashion Gallery between 16th to
27th July.
Last year, in order to identify and nurture more potential fashion design talents for Macao, CPTTM
encouraged contest winners to submit their entries to the 2013 “Dalian Cup” Fashion Illustration
Contest. Entries from Macau contestants proudly received the Excellence Award from the “Dalian
Cup” contest. It showed that the fashion illustration skill of Macao has already reached a respectable
quality, approaching that of international level. This year, CPTTM is going to continue to encourage
winners to submit their entries to the “Dalian Cup” Fashion Illustration Contest.
